Overview

"Imo & the King" is based on African stories. It starts with the king's envoys coming to Imo's village with an official message: the king is looking for a brave and responsible person who could rule the kingdom in his absence and has set up three tests to determine the candidate's preparedness. Imo decides to go, even though the envoys and villagers laugh at him because he's still a young boy. On the way he helps a bird, ants and an elder who turns out to be a genie, by sharing his belongings with them. Each of them teach him a song that he has to sing to have his kindness returned. Imo arrives at the capital and the king lets him take the tests. Imo sings the songs to get help from the bird, the ants and the genie, passes the tests and is now made a prince. The "Magic Tales" series includes six interactive storybooks, based on fairy tales from different parts of the world. They are all framed as stories read by Grandpa Mouse to his grandchildren. Each story consists of twelve pages and if "Play" mode is selected, the player can also click on different parts of the scenery to see what will happen.
