Kazuyoshi Hoshino (born in Shizuoka, Shizuoka Prefecture, 1 July 1947) is a former racing driver and businessman from Japan. Hoshino's nickname was "the fastest man/guy in Japan". He won the Japanese motocross national championships in the 90cc and 125cc classes for Kawasaki in 1968 before switching to cars as a Nissan factory driver in 1969. Hoshino retired from racing in 2002 and now continues to run his own Super GT team and his own Nissan specialised aftermarket parts company, Impul. The Super GT series, formerly known as the All-Japan Grand Touring Car Championship or JGTC, is a grand touring car race series promoted by the GT-Association (GT-A). Though the JGTC was authorized by the Japan Automobile Federation and recognized by the FIA, the Super GT is authorized directly by FIA.
