Overview
Upon first inspection, the name of this game presents quite the puzzle. How is it possible to have five Aces when there are only four suits in the deck? Actually, in this game, there is a fifth Ace, which has a special suit—the Star. Thus, the card deck here is made up of 53 cards instead of the usual 52. You usually get special bonuses if you have a hand with five Aces. It is sometimes combined with other types of video poker such as Double Bonus. Basically, any poker game with a fifth Ace can be called by this name. When you find a variant, do check to see if it has been “crossed” with another video poker game to give additional bonus features.
