Overview

This introduces your toddler to the computer and their ABCs or 123s, as well as many other activities. They start out in the playroom, which looks like a kid's bedroom full of toys. By moving the mouse over the toys, some of them begin to move. Clicking the mouse button on the moving toys takes you to a related activity. The entire program, hosted by a gopher named Giggles, is filled with songs for toddlers. The games are: Learn your Numbers, Sing with the Animals, Bounce Colorful Shapes, Listen to Music, Play Peekaboo, Feed the Doggie, and Practice your Letters. Clicking on the light switch quits the game. The 2000 edition includes a 2-CD set composed of JumpStart Toddlers Deluxe and JumpStart My Learning Scrapbook Deluxe. The latter features two bonus applications: My Learning Scrapbook, which allows parents or caregivers to import photos and create a personalized learning book with personal text, and J*Mail, an easy-to-use program that allows children to exchange online messages with friends. As a bonus, it includes a 30-minute video of JumpStart Preschool for kids in the two-to-five age range, which explains how the JumpStart preschool gang teaches letters and numbers, shapes, counting, pre-reading, music, listening, coordination, and social skills.
