Overview

Cinderella for the PS2 is a retelling of the classic fairy tale of the same name. A large part of this game is that it includes an exclusive cartoon on the disc. The cartoon is a modern update of Cinderella - complete with taxis, a modern city setting and disco dance off. From the title screen the player can select a number of game activities such as Pairs, Colouring, Jigsaw puzzle and sliding puzzle. Pairs involves matching cards across a grid to eventually clear them all. Colouring lets the player choose from a selection of colours and with a paint bucket tool not unlike MS Paint fill in sections of a drawing. Jigsaw is exactly as you would expect, the player chooses pieces and drags them onto an empty grid to make a picture from the cartoon. Sliding jigsaw is an interesting take on the traditional jigsaw in that the player both has to flip pieces vertically and horizontally to make them match and that the pieces are animated individually - coming together to make a small loop from the cartoon.
