Overview

Citizen Brown is the third out of five episodes of Back to the Future: The Game. After reinstating the timeline of Kid Tannen and Grandpa Artie in the previous episode in 1931, Marty McFly and Doc Brown return to 1986, the relative present of the story. But during the leap Doc disappears and the time-machine crashes out of control into a billboard. Once again Marty finds himself in an disturbingly altered present. This time he has to encounter patriarchal Citizen Brown, who has turned Hill Valley into some kind of enfenced compound to make it the most secure, clean and peaceful place. Because the time machine is wrecked, Citizen Brown seems to be the only one who could help Marty. But to get in contact with him Marty has to break quite some rules of the surveillance society. The adventure game features third-person view with real-time 3D graphics and pre-defined fixed, pivoting or scrolling camera settings. While interaction is performed in classic point-and-click style, the player has to move Marty by direction keys or dragging the character with the mouse. Puzzles are predominantly inventory-based; certain tasks can also be solved by gathering information and selecting the correct dialogue choices.
