Overview

The Guardian was written by John Betteridge in 1986, the same year as he wrote Escape from Khoshima which was picked up and re-released by Atlantis Software. The same fate did not befall 'The Guardian', however, which remained available only via mail order. A text only adventure, written with GAC, The Guardian sees you wandering through the great void of oblivion between the living and the dead. A heavy stillness pervades all. You must defeat the Dark Lord and prevent the all consuming war that threatens to engulf your nation. Your journey will take you across the River Styx, as long as you can pay your fare, before you take on the Dark Lord himself.
