Overview

Crunchball 3000 is a sports flash game that was developed by Ben Olding and released on May 19, 2009. Crunchball 3000 is a sports game that takes place in the 3rd millennium and is the only sport allowed to be played in the world that the game takes place in, many years after all other sports had been banned. The player will take control of a team and the main objective is to advance through the divisions and become the world champions. Before getting into the gameplay, the player is given a lot of customisation options when it comes to their team. They can choose their kit appearance from a large number of colour options, choose the team formation and completely customise the names of the players on their team. As they progress through the game, the player can also upgrade the skills of their individual players, transfer them and give them performance enhancing drugs with the risk of a fine if caught. When in game, the player will take control of the team one player at a time; when the player’s team has the ball it will always be the player with the ball but when the opposing team has the ball, the player can switch between players if needed to tackle the opposing team and get the ball back. The player can either shoot or pass when they have the ball, the former of which being much more powerful and more likely to make its way into the goal. Tackling occurs very often in Crunchball and stronger players will be able to push tackling enemy players out of the way while they have the ball to give them a better chance of scoring. As the player goes through the game and rises through the divisions, although their team will get stronger, the opposing teams will get harder to beat.
