Overview
Derby Owners Club World Edition is a massive, multiplayer horse racing simulator developed by Hitmaker and published by Sega. Released in western markets around 2001–2003, it is an English adaptation of the highly successful Japanese arcade game Derby Owners Club 2000, modified with localized race titles like the American Oaks and American Derby. The game stands out in arcade history as a massive "nation-state" of a cabinet that functions as a hybrid between traditional arcade gaming and persistent management simulation.
