Overview

Shootout Pool is a true to life pool simulation video game set in the dimly lit back rooms of pool hustling. It features realistic physics, which faithfully recreates the experience of a real life pool table. The game uses a miniature pool cue and an ergonomically designed control unit which gives the player the real feel of playing either 8 ball or 9 ball pool. The intuitive interface control unit and realistic physics allow you to impress your challengers with true to life pool techniques and shots including Backspin, Swerve, Top, Side, Masse and Jumping. The game has 4 playing modes: 1. Versus the computer. Where the player has a choice of playing against 12 different computer generated opponents each with their own specialty trick shot and ability level. 2. Versus another player. 3. Practice. Where players can fine-tune their pool prowess. 4. Tournament Mode. This feature allows operators to run an in house tournament. Players can vie to become the best Pool Hustler in a variety of joints including a Night Club, Old Style Bar, Pool Bar and Convention Hall. The game allows 360 degrees panning, zooming and the ability to play from both 2-D and 3-D perspectives.
