Overview
Hard Boiled is a maze action game in which the player takes control of a dinosaur beast in an egg on caterpillar tread called Edward Egg the Third. The object of the game is to reach the end of the long corridor in sector delta. Each sector, alpha, beta, gamma and delta consists of 50 rooms that have a number of connecting doors. To open these doors, the player must look for the keys scattered throughout the maze. Each key has a different symbol on it. This means that the doors can only be opened with a key with the same symbol. To reach the new sector via the planet's surface one must use the key card that can be found in each sector. Enemies also roam each sector, but these can be shot or avoided. There are also objects that can give an extra life, such as an egg, question mark (or refuel) and one green die. However, the green die can add or take away a life. To refuel, the player must find objects such as a fuel tank, cold beer, banana, apple, grapes or a pear. This can also be found in combinations such as the puzzle pieces FU and EL, etc. Only two items can be carried at a time; As soon as a third is picked up, the player loses one of the two items already in his possession. To get information about the object, press the O key. To use object 1, press number 1 and press 2 for object 2.
