Overview
Grandstand Scramble is a highly popular vintage 1982 electronic tabletop mini-arcade game released in the UK by Grandstand (originally manufactured by Epoch in Japan). Officially licensed from Konami, it was based on the iconic 1981 side-scrolling arcade hit Scramble, bringing the "pew-pew" space-shooter experience right into 1980s living rooms.
Unlike the scrolling maps of the arcade version, hardware limits mean the tabletop variant focuses on static screens with waves of oncoming targets. Players start with 3 lives and must fight through 5 distinct game phases to destroy the enemy headquarters.
