Taiko no Tatsujin: Doko Don! Mystery Adventure

Taiko no Tatsujin – Dokodon! Mystery Adventure also known as Taiko Drum Master – Dokodon! Mystery Adventure in English is a Rhythm game developed and published by Bandai Namco Games for the Nintendo 3DS. It was released exclusively in Japan on June 16, 2016, and was translated to English by Tiduscrying. The treasure that protects the world, “Oparts,” has been stolen by a mysterious group, “Magical Association Hexaglia”!

Don-chan and Ka-chan have a great adventure all over the world to recover the stolen parts! Can Don-chan and his friends get back the missing parts and save the world?! The monsters you encounter during your adventure are “performance battles”! The better you play, the more damage you will do to monsters! Gather your own team, train them, and work together to confront the strong opponents!

The basic gameplay of this installment is the same as Taiko no Tatsujin: Don and Katsu’s Space-time Adventure. The story mode’s gameplay mechanics were improved from the previous game. Instead of 4 team members, Mystery Adventure allows up to 8 team members per battle. A new mechanic, called Taiko Magic, was introduced and allows players to initiate Taiko Magic attacks by gathering magic gauge and then touching the magic mark when the gauge is full.
