Shin Goketsuji Ichizoku: Bonnou Kaihou (新・豪血寺一族 煩悩解放) is the sixth installment in the series and serves as something of a sequel to Matrimelee, although like Power Instinct Legends, it's also not a proper sequel to the main series, and could be said to be a port or an "update" of Matrimelee. Unlike the other sequels in the series, Bonnou Kaihou is the first one to be made exclusively for a console. It was created for and released on the Playstation 2 by Noise Factory and Excite on May 25, 2006. Those who pre-ordered the game received a bonus CD which contained full chorus arranged versions of a few of the songs and a digital calendar. Like Groove On Fight, it has not gotten a release outside of Japan.
