Hyperthrust

Overview

A shooter written by Ullrich Hafner and published in 64'er Sonderheft 73. It comes with 3 types of games to select: Shootem Double, Shootem Solo and Double Tactics. Two rubber balls race across the rugged landscape of the planet "Gumball" and eagerly collect points. Anyone who does not meet the time limit is eliminated.

Accompany us to the distant celestial body »Gumball«, whose surface is made of springy, elastic rubber. It's no wonder that the inhabitants don't have a human shape, but are round rubber balls! They have one thing in common with humans: a carefree play instinct and a love of athletic competition. That is why the G.O.G (Gum Olympic Games) take place every year, in which young, sporty players from the rubber planet take part. The audience is eagerly awaiting the highlight of the sports games, the 5000-mile run across the whole country. In order to make the competition more varied, a time limit of 4000 tenths of a second was set. But if you know how sporty these rubber balls are, you don't seem to have too much time. In addition, opposing pieces of rubber are sent into the field, which act as obstacles for the runners. Every sportsman owns a ray gun that is activated with the fire button. With this, the obstacles must be melted
