Initial D Gaiden

Initial D Gaiden (頭文字D 外伝, Inisharu Dī Gaiden) is a 1998 Japan-exclusive racing video game developed by M²TO and published by Kodansha for the Game Boy. It is the first game to be based on the Initial D series. The game primarily features a story mode in which the protagonist is Itsuki Takeuchi. However, players can also race as Bunta Fujiwara, Natsuki Mogi, and finally Takumi Fujiwara after completing each character's story section, where they battle against various characters from the series.

The game includes three main modes: Story Mode, Time Attack Mode, and Communications Mode. In Time Attack Mode, players can select a course and a character to race with. In Communications Mode, players can compete against another player via the Game Link Cable in a multiplayer versus battle.
