Hop Step Idol

Hop Step Idol is a management simulation game in the vein of Graduation, where the player is the producer of a new boys idol group and must lead them to success. The game starts with the player recruiting each of the band members by visiting various locations around Tokyo; once the group is assembled, the simulation gameplay starts. The player must decide on each member's practice and work schedule for each week, keeping in mind their strengths and energy levels.

There are 10 different kinds of training, which each affect the eight parameters in various ways, and it's also important to keep drama between band members in check as their personalities will tend to clash. Different parameters improve skill at different jobs, including recording, concerts, and interviews. It is also possible to ask the boys out on dates, which can dramatically improve their motivation levels but may cause drama with their bandmates.
