Overview

Rick McQuick is the owner and pilot of the cargo ship Odour-Eater II, and his current cargo for delivery is 35 tonnes of Altarian Old McSpewans Spirit, which is for the bustling metropolis Kylie on the planet Minogue. The problems Rick start to encounter is due to him helping himself and drinking some of the contents of the cargo which has led to an incident with an empty bottle and the auto-pilot. Now off course, the ship is passing close to the planet Yarkon which was home to the now deceased galactic villain, Fastbender Gloop. Even though Mr Gloop is dead, the defence system for the planet is still on and now missiles have been launched straight towards Rick. Sensing the danger, Rick managed to get inside an escape pod and launch it away from the ship before it was hit by the missiles. Waking up dazed and confused Rick finds himself lying besides the pod on the planet's surface and must now explore the planet and escape. Yarkon Blues is a graphics text adventure where the screen has a picture showing you what you can see while text describes your location. You type in commands with the keyboard to interact with your surroundings.
