Overview

Originally released as Interplanetary Trader by small publisher Datacom, the game was later released on the Amsoft Gold label as Macrocosmica and again as Space Trader by Atlantis. A real time space adventure set in the 30th century where trade and export take on a new dimension. The trading boom is at its peak: millions of credits can (and will) be won and lost. The pickings are rich and plentiful not only for the lone trader but for the governments set to reach large profits from landing taxes, import duties, repair centres and refuelling docks. It's not just the law looking to make a quick buck either, you'll need to traverse the perils of space pirates who will loot or extort you whenever and wherever they can. Heavily influenced by Elite but focuses much more on the trading aspects.
