Overview

From the book "Brain Games for Kids & Adults Using the Commodore 64". This is a three-dimensional version of the chess game called "Knight". You might want to try the standard 2-D version before tackling this more challenging version. As the name implies, you might have trouble going to sleep after playing this horror. You are given a starting point and a finishing point on a three dimensional chess board. The locations are given by a letter A to H, followed by a number 1 to 8 and then another letter A to H. your knight can move a total of six squares in any combination of 2, 2, 2, or 4, 1, 1 or 1, 2, 3. By any combination. For instance, in the 1, 2, 3 move you may move any one of the coordinates by 1 unit followed by 2 units and the remaining coordinate by three units. You must enter your moves in a string containing all the three new coordinates in teh format: Letter-Number- Letter such as F7D. Good luck!
