Overview
Geigeki Go Go Shooting sends the player into a succession of vertically scrolling combat zones, piloting a small craft through hostile airspace. Enemy formations sweep in from the screen edges and from above, and the action frames a straightforward sortie: survive each route and push forward to the next encounter.
Play begins with a difficulty selection and drops immediately into vertical scrolling stages. The ship moves freely in eight directions and fires with a dedicated button while streams of enemy bullets and craft crowd the lanes ahead. Waves arrive in patterns that reward quick lane changes and tight dodging, and larger enemies anchor the end of a section as mini-bosses or bosses. Score builds from defeated enemies, and continuing after a loss returns you to play with the score reset, keeping runs focused on clean, uninterrupted clears. A two-player option lets a second ship join the sortie for cooperative play. Across modes the pace tightens at higher settings—up to a “Super Hard” option that accelerates enemy shots and compresses reaction windows—while hit detection stays crisp and consistent, encouraging close dodges.
