Overview
It's been two years now since Kintarō defeated Shuten-doji and became a hero. He was given the noble name Sakata no Kintoki, and has trained hard under his master Raikō, becoming stronger than ever. However, he's still as rowdy and immature as ever, pushing his master's patience to its limit. One day, an incident occurs that results in Princess Kaguya's kidnapping by an ogre, and Kintoki along with Raikō's three retainers Tsuna, Suetake, and Jirō, set off to rescue her.
Masakari Densetsu: Kintarō RPG-hen is a turn-based JRPG in the tradition of Dragon Quest, and a direct sequel to Kintarō Action-hen. The player controls a party of up to five characters, exploring the world and fighting groups of enemies in random encounter turn-based combat. Combat includes standard options such as attacking, defending, using items or magic, or escaping; some characters have additional skills such as Rika's ability to transform into different creatures. Characters will level up as they gain experience, and new weapons and armor can be purchased at shops throughout the game.
