Overview

10k is a German language turn-based dice game created by Moritz Weissbrich for the 2nd 4k BASIC Compo in 2009. A game for 255 players, where the winner is the one who scores 10000 points. Before the turn begins, the software draws six digits representing the dice eyes. The player can collect ones, fives and threes of identical digits by pressing the corresponding keys displayed at the bottom of the screen. The key symbols correspond to the German names of the digits and are arranged in order from 1 to 6, i.e., E, Z, D, V, F, S. Collecting three threes gives 300 points, three sixes 600 points, and so on. Only collecting three ones gives 1000 points. After collecting the dice, the player can throw the remaining dice again by pressing the W key until all of them have been collected or if no longer possible. In the latter case, the points will not be added to the player's score. By pressing the B key, the player ends his turn by taking the points scored.
