Overview
Shuttle Voyage places the player in control of a space shuttle navigating a hazardous flight path through outer space. The shuttle must cross successive traffic lanes of fast-moving spacecraft and debris to reach the opposite side of the screen safely, completing voyages through deep-space routes.
The display is divided into horizontal lanes filled with moving obstacles—rockets, satellites, and meteoroids—moving in alternating directions. The player moves the shuttle upward or downward between lanes using the two red arrow buttons on the left side of the unit, timing each movement to pass safely between hazards. Reaching the far side of the screen scores a point and returns the shuttle to the starting zone for another crossing. A collision with any object costs a life.
The calculator-style keypad beneath the display doubles as a clock and alarm interface when the unit is idle; the game uses only directional and “Forward” controls during play. Sound cues accompany movement, collisions, and successful crossings, using simple beeps typical of Tronica’s MG-series.
