Overview
Peril in Gamindustri! CPU Candidates, Assemble! Serving as a more of a reboot than a straight sequel, mk2 takes place in an alternate dimension and doesn't continue the story of its predecessor. Rampant piracy has led to the rise of the Arfoire Syndicate, a group of four criminals who hope to revive the Diety of Sin, Arfoire. This time around the player takes control of Nepgear, Neptune's little sister. Having recently been freed from the Gamindustri Graveyard, Nepgear must unite the CPU Candidates, free their older sisters from the Graveyard, and put a stop to the Syndicate's evil ambitions. The gameplay has been completely revamped. Battles are no longer random as enemies appear on the map. Battles play out in small, open areas and party members are able to move freely within their range. Movement and actions are dependent on an Action Gauge. Different abilities reduce the gauge by different amounts and a character's turn ends when the gauge is depleted.
