Parallax (London Software)

Overview

Not to be confused with the 1986 Ocean\Mindscape game of the same name, this grid based shooter was released in North America by London Software. (Strange that London Software was from California and Americana and U.S. Gold were in Britain).

Parallax is a 1 - 2 arcade game for multiple systems

Defeat the evil Silurians. You must destroy their Oscillating Gravitronic Generators. The player moves on the lines of a 12 x 12 grid, trying to pick up all of the generators. Four Silurian orbital launchers circle the perimeter of the field, and fire missiles towards the player. The player can fire forwards to destroy these. Each level presents a new generator design. There are 2 speeds available, and the player starts with 3 lives.
