Pooyan

Pooyan is a fixed-screen shooter in which Mama Pig attempts to rescue her kidnapped piglets from a pack of wolves. She rides vertically along the side of a cliff in a rope-suspended gondola, firing arrows horizontally at wolves carried by balloons. The game alternates between two main scenes, followed periodically by bonus rounds.

In the first scene, wolves descend toward the pigs’ home while throwing rocks at Mama. Shooting a balloon sends its occupant falling, while rocks can be intercepted for additional points. Wolves that reach the ground climb ladders beside the gondola and attempt to bite Mama from behind.
