Overview
Sangokushi Returns is a remake of the original Romance of the Three Kingdoms from 1985. The strategy gameplay is identical to the original release — select one of several warlords vying for power in the aftermath of the Yellow Turban Rebellion in the year 184 CE, and attempt to conquer territory — but this remake features completely redone graphics and sound similar to the previous remake of Nobunaga's Ambition. All 250+ generals are now rendered in full 3D, and there is a full remixed soundtrack including many songs appearing from other games in the series.
