Vortex is a game in which you have to shoot away at a stationary target in the middle of the screen until you get to the target's core. The gameplay is heavily inspired by the classic arcade game Star Castle, but also has some similarities to Asteroids as well.

It was developed by Sean D. Wagle, and published by Ion International, Inc. In Ahoy! 1987/01 (Issue #37). It was also published in Stonysoft #0343.
