Overview

An educational word search puzzle game for the Oric computers. It was developed by Pete Beckett and published by CDS Micro Systems in 1984. A thought stimulating game for all the family. Use your knowledge to find the missing words. When Wordsearch is loaded, instructions appear on the screen. This program allows you to select a word from a list of words. Each pupil then types in as many different words as possible using the letters of the word chosen. The time allowed is chosen by the teacher (1-9 mins). Plurals, proper nouns, slang and archaic words are not allowed. When the menu appears on the screen a choice of four groups (A, B, C, D) are given. These groups are: Group A up to 22 solutions Group B up to 26 solutions Group C up to 34 solutions Group D up to 56 solutions Words of 2-5 letters will only be accepted. If the timer runs out before completion the program will then display the missing words one by one, in alphabetical order.
