Operation Ganymed

Overview

Operation Ganymed is a 1-player arcade game for the VIC-20.

Your lunar module is low on fuel and your mission is to unload badly needed supplies to a remote colony. The three landing sites lie among the caverns and cliffs of the Altai Mountains. Your mission is complete when all three sites have received supplies. With only three modules at your disposal, you must land accurately on each site at exactly the right rate of descent. Too fast or out of position and you will blow up on impact. Points are given for the amount of fuel and for low landing speeds. The player's spaceship is refilled with each successful landing. After landing on all 3 sites, gravity is increased.

Developed and initially published in 1994 by Atlantis Software in Europe, it was later released the same year in North America by Laing Marketing.
