Overview
Jurassic Park Institute Tour: Dinosaur Rescue is a party game about completing dinosaur-themed minigames tied to the Jurassic Park Institute Tour, a science-focused exhibition in Japan.
The player takes on the role of a scientist participating in various tasks aimed at rescuing and learning about dinosaurs. The objective is to complete a picture gallery by earning scores in five different minigames. The game contains minimal narrative and is primarily structured around its activity-based challenges.
Gameplay centers on five distinct minigames:
- In Cross Dinosaur, the player avoids a Triceratops stampede while guiding people to a helicopter.
- Danger Zone involves leading a Parasaurolophus past falling debris to safety, with repeated attempts unlocking visual changes.
- Egg Guard tasks a Pteranodon with protecting eggs from poachers.
- Rexercise is a pattern-matching game using body poses performed by a Tyrannosaurus.
- In Take Meat, a Velociraptor collects meat while avoiding hazards, with performance affected by the amount carried.
Each game awards points, and higher scores help fill the picture gallery. Completion of this gallery leads to the game’s ending.
This title was only released in Japan and was distributed through the Jurassic Park Institute Tour. It was not sold in stores or released outside of the exhibition.
