Overview
Set shortly after the events of Tekken 6, the plot focuses on the events leading up to the final battle between martial artist Heihachi Mishima and his son, Kazuya. Tekken 7 introduces several new elements to the fighting system such as Rage Arts and the Power Crush mechanic, making the game more beginner friendly than previous iterations in the series. Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is an update to Tekken 7 arcade version. The console version simply known as Tekken 7 is based on this update. The character Akuma from the universe of Street Fighter was the first new playable character of this version, confirming that the universe of Tekken and Street Fighter coincide. This update also revealed new default outfits for many characters such as Asuka Kazama, Sergei Dragunov, Bryan Fury, Lili and Ling Xiaoyu.
