Overview

Pro Cycling Manager: Season 2012 is a managerial simulation in which the player takes control over a cycling team. This includes both taking care of the athletes (e.g. training, team strategy and assigning roles) and the financial side (e.g. signing new athletes or finding sponsors). During the races (which can also be simulated), the player always has statistics options at hand to influence the race, e.g. manually order an athlete to attack. The main playing mode is the career which spans over multiple seasons. Alternatively there are also single races (either full stage, single stage or a classic) and single seasons available. Track racing is completely independent from the management part and features control over a single rider. The player can change the lane and increase/decrease the used effort. It is important to watch the rider's energy which depletes with high effort. The main differences to the predecessor are a season planner for career mode, a few new graphics, licensed equipment, refined AI and the new multiplayer mode Armada which can be compared to FIFA Soccer's Ultimate Team. Here players compete with teams built up with trading cards - booster packs are available via micro transactions. Armada replaces all old multiplayer options except track racing.
