The game that was meant to be. As the 2001 trailer showed us. Released. An Eduke32 community project to bring the version of Duke Nukem Forever originally showcased to the public to the Eduke32 source port of Duke3D. The problem with Duke Nukem Forever - other than that it was bad - was that it didn't provide the classic FPS experience that Duke Nukem 3D fans wanted, while also failing to be a decent modern shooter in its own right.
