X's & O's

Overview

X's & O's is a stone age theme and the successor of "OXO" which was already very successful in 1973. Thematically, the pinball machine is very entertaining. The game still revolves around the Tic Tac Toe matrix in the middle of the field. The player controls what happens in the matrix by hitting different targets. In the upper half of the pitch, the new edition of 1984 brings some changes with it. Among other things a third pinball finger, with which the player must hit the upper 3 Drop Targtes.

The skill shot requires a lot of feeling at the trigger. The player must bring the ball into play in such a way that it touches the contact at the top edge and then neither runs downwards. The traffic light circuit is connected to the skill shot, which provides for proper points directly at the start of the game if successful.

The player gets an extra ball by reaching the upper left corner with the ball several times. At the top right of the playing field is a closed area with 2 lanes, which can be reached via the left outer lane - however, this is only possible via the right outer lane. The pinball machine stores the bonus for the following balls and so the player can increase the bonus and collect the points.
