Bakuretsu Hunter: Mahjong Special is a mahjong game featuring the cast of anime & manga series Bakuretsu Hunter (known as Sorcerer Hunters outside Japan). It is a standard 4-player riichi mahjong game and includes three single-player game modes. The main story mode follows the dim-witted protagonist Carrot as he attempts to track down and recover seven holy mahjong tiles that have been stolen, by playing mahjong to gather information and defeat the culprits. There is also a survival mode where the player must defeat all the characters in a series of matches, and a free battle mode where any combination of opponents can be played against. There are 18 total playable characters, and a variety of rule configuration options available for each game mode.
