Overview

Holdfast is a small village located in the country of Dictatoria. Sick of paying taxes and receiving nothing in return, the villagers have had enough and want government funding for a school and clinic. As a well respected citizen, you are being asked to lead a non-violent protest against the government until they agree to these demands. The game is turn based, and actions are selected from a series of text-based menus. In every week, you can select some form of protest ranging from information campaigns to sit-ins and picketing. Every action may result in some responses from others (in the government, from the press, or internationally) which will affect villager or government resolve. If the village resolve drops below 50%, then the Holdfastians will give up the struggle and you lose the game. If the government resolve drops below 50%, then they will eventually give in to your demands and you win.
