Overview
Escape from the Lost World is a prehistoric-themed pinball machine released by Bally Manufacturing Co. in 1987. Designed by Dan Langlois with artwork by Greg Freres, it is known for its experimental, multi-level layout and unique 3D visual effects.
The game features an unorthodox, almost four-level playfield environment that includes a main playfield, an intermediate level, and a top playfield area. It is uniquely notable for having artwork silk-screened directly onto the playfield glass, creating a sense of depth and a 3D jungle effect.
The primary objective involves building a "treasure" jackpot by hitting various targets, then knocking down a bank of three drop targets to open the "Escape Gate" on the upper playfield to collect it.
Approximately 1,500 units were produced.
