Overview
Black Reed (often referred to as Black & Reed) is a rare, single-player pinball machine manufactured by the Spanish company Inder in 1975.
The machine is a classic electromechanical table featuring a relatively straightforward layout: two flippers, two pop bumpers, two slingshots, five stand-up targets, and one kick-out hole.
The table should have been called "Black Red" or "Black and Red", but due to an error, the backglass artist misspelled Red and wrote Reed. The table went to production with the misspelled backglass.
On digital recreations the spelling mistake is sometimes corrected, so though the table is listed as "Black Reed" on Pinside, it is available to play digitally as "Black and Red" for Visual Pinball X.
