Overview
Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power is a science fiction 3D turn based strategy game based on the 1971 novel Prisoners of Power or Inhabited Island by the Russian authors Arkady and Boris Strugatsky. The four factions - Land of the Fathers, Khonties, Island Empire and Barbarians - wage a full blown war for control of the planet Saraksh, each faction feature distinctive designs and technology trees and tactical differences. Units can make use of the environment for tactical advantage, such as using forest for camouflage and dig trenches, garrison buildings or construct bridges over rivers. Air units can be used to transport troops, and heavy artillery can be moved by trucks as your army advances. The planet and its diverse environments (including deserts, forests and polar regions) are rendered in 3D, with day and night cycles and dynamic weather.
