During the Third World War, human beings have employed complex biological weapons that involved artificial mutations of living creatures. The unforeseen result of this technique was the creation of horrifying monsters that soon began to fight for dominance of the entire planet. Yōjū Senki: A.D. 2048 is a simple turn-based strategy game. The player selects five team members for a mission; afterwards the girls are taken to a large battlefield. Navigating the girls on the field, the player can attack monsters when they are in range of the girls' weapons. There are no special attacks or any attack animations; however, the game will randomly display a sexual torture scene depicting a monster raping a girl during battles.

Between the battles, the player can sometimes choose to chat with the girls, which occasionally leads to a sex scene.
