Dennou Suikoden

Dennou Suikoden is an adventure game inspired by Water Margin (Suikoden). The story is divided into multiple scenarios. In the opening scenario, the protagonists investigate a mysterious illness affecting people in the region. Their search for a cure leads them to pursue information about a substance known as Aqua Regia and to encounter various unusual characters and settlements.

The narrative progresses through a series of self-contained scenarios, with later events becoming accessible only after earlier scenarios are completed. Each scenario presents its own locations, characters, and story developments, gradually advancing the overall storyline toward a final confrontation.

Gameplay in Dennou Suikoden is scenario-based and menu-driven. Players interact with static scenes using text commands to view objects, talk to characters, investigate locations, move between areas, dispatch party members, and engage in scripted encounters. Each scenario is composed of multiple areas, and progression depends on selecting appropriate actions in the correct order to trigger story events.

The game features multiple scenarios, with the first three available before a final scenario becomes accessible. Progress within a scenario is tracked separately, and each scenario allows saving at a designated point. Advancement is achieved by completing scenario objectives rather than through free-form exploration.
