Transformers: Generation 2

In Transformers: Generation 2, Optimus Prime leads the Autobots in a renewed battle against the Decepticons for control of Earth. As Decepticon forces descend from the skies under Starscream’s command, the player must defend Autobot territory, transform between robot and vehicle modes, and eliminate the enemy threat before time runs out.

Players control Optimus Prime through a side-view battlefield that alternates between open terrain and enemy airspace. The directional pad moves the character left and right or shifts between ground and elevated positions. The two action buttons—Call/Transform and Attack—govern transformation and combat.

Each mode offers tactical trade-offs: the truck form moves faster and avoids incoming fire more easily, while the robot form can shoot upward to intercept airborne enemies. Collectible icons represented by “P” along the screen bottom provide weapon power-ups.
