Super Spin

Overview

Produced by D. Gottlieb & Co. in 1977, Super Spin is a highly regarded 2-player electromechanical (EM) pinball table and is frequently considered a pinnacle of EM design. It is known for its fast gameplay, vibrant futuristic theme featuring characters on hoverboards, and the absence of drop targets in favor of a complex Roto-Target system.

Designed by Ed Krynski with artwork by Gordon Morison, the backglass and playfield are lauded for their vibrant 70s style. Super Spin is notable for packing a wide variety of features into a 2-flipper layout, offering a challenging experience that rewards precise, controlled play rather than random shots.

Gottlieb was considered the "King of EM" during this era, and Super Spin was produced in the final, peak year of their electromechanical machines. Super Spin is the 2-player version of Gottlieb's popular 4-player game, Jet Spin.
