Overview

In the sequel to Test Drive, you can play against the time or the computer. Choose between a Ferrari F-40 and a Porsche 959, and take on your opponent, who is in the other car. There is also traffic to avoid. Each stage has a different setting, including forests and mountains, with a wide range of hazards to dodge. The game is designed to allow for scenario disks. To finish a stage, you must stop at the gas station by yourself, which allows you to refuel. CAR ADD-ON PACKS Super Cars Disk : included five cars similar to those in the previous game in the series, most of them in newer and faster versions, a Lotus Turbo Esprit, Ferrari Testarossa, Ruf Twin Turbo, Lamborghini Countach and a Corvette ZR1. Muscle Cars Disk: included five muscle cars from the 60's, a 1963 Corvette Stingray, 1969 Camaro ZL-1 COPO, 1968 Mustang Shelby GT500, 1967 Pontiac GTO and a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. The expansion didn't change the police cars as well, though, so the player had practically no chance of outrunning a police car when caught speeding. SCENERY ADD-ON PACKS European Challenge Disk: allowed players to travel through six different European countries: the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, and Spain. California Challenge Disk: included seven stages, each representing a section of a southbound crossing of the state of California.
