StratoBomber

Overview

Stratobomber is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro and Electron.

Hostile aliens are sending ships armed with laser weapons capable of destroying a planet with one sustained burst. The player controls a base that traverses the center of the screen, and can fire vertically downwards. The goal is to destroy the large ship's central reactor before the enemy lasers power up and destroy the player's planet.

The player's defenses are probed by satellites which must not be allowed to reach the bottom of the screen. These satellites cannot be destroyed, but they can be deflected back into space some distance by the player using a force field. If a satellite reaches the bottom of the screen, the player loses a life.
