In 1983, Qualsoft introduced their first soccer management game which moved away from the artificial "mental arithmetic" approach of other games. We used professional simulation techniques to give a much more natural and realistic imitation of the actual world of the football manager. We called this game LEAGUE DIVISION ONE and it was released for the BBC Micro, almost immediately becoming something of a cult game. In September of 1984, now onto our third version for the BBC, we produced the first version specifically for the Electron. We called this SOCCER SUPREMO and again the game became a cult hit, with even the BBC market demanding a version because of the more realistic graphics used for the football match itself.
