Black Velvet

Overview

Black Velvet is a solid-state cocktail-style pinball machine released by Game Plan Inc. in May 1978. Designed by Ed Cebula with artwork by Jim Sullivan, it accommodates up to four players.

The machine is approximately a quarter of the size of a standard pinball table and is mechanically designed to mimic gambling motifs. It includes two flippers, kick bumpers, two mushroom bumpers, and a spinner.

Black Velvet shares its internal layout and mechanics with several other 1978 Game Plan cocktail models, including Rio, Camel Lights, Foxy Lady, Real, and Chuck-a-Luck.
