Rapid Fire

Overview

Released by Bally in June 1982, Rapid Fire is an electro-mechanical arcade shooter, rather than a traditional pinball machine, designed to bridge the gap between pinball and video games. It uses a pinball cabinet to house a high-speed, 84-ball shooter game where players use joysticks to control a cannon and destroy light-based "alien" targets.

Only 5,000 units were produced.
